Over the past 30 days ARB has moved +0.81% and over the past 90 days −33.33%.

Circulating supply is 6,614,056,381 ARB , with no fixed maximum supply. ARB launched with a 10 billion max supply, of which a minority circulated at the March 2023 airdrop. Team and investor allocations vest on a multi-year schedule, so unlock events add scheduled supply — worth checking against daily volume before and after each unlock.

The gap to the record

Getting back to $2.39 from here would take a 30.5× move — that multiple, not the percentage, is the honest way to read a drawdown. The figure above updates every hour as our price snapshot refreshes; the record itself is an editorial fact recorded from CoinGecko.

All-time low

Arbitrum's recorded all-time low is $0.0707, on June 26, 2026 (CoinGecko). From that low to today's price is the other end of the same story — aggregators differ on launch-era data, so we name the source we cite.

What moves Arbitrum's price

  • Ethereum data costs: Dencun's blob transactions (March 2024) cut rollup costs dramatically; future changes to blob supply and pricing flow directly through Arbitrum's margins and fee competitiveness.
  • Token unlocks: ARB's vesting schedule releases team and investor tokens on fixed dates — unlock size as a percentage of daily volume is the number that determines market impact.
  • DAO treasury decisions: the Arbitrum DAO controls billions of ARB; incentive programs, grants, and any move toward fee-sharing or staking change the token's cash-flow story.
  • Sequencer revenue and activity share: Arbitrum competes with Base, Optimism, and others for L2 activity; DEX volume, TVL, and Stylus (WASM contracts) adoption are the usage metrics that matter.
  • The governance-only critique: ARB currently captures no protocol fees, so proposals that would link network revenue to the token are recurring catalysts in both directions.

About Arbitrum

Arbitrum One launched to the public in August 2021, built by Offchain Labs, founded by Princeton computer scientists Ed Felten, Steven Goldfeder, and Harry Kalodner. It is an optimistic rollup: transactions execute off-chain and are posted to Ethereum, presumed valid unless challenged by a fraud proof during a dispute window.

The ARB token arrived in March 2023 via one of the largest airdrops in crypto history, transferring protocol governance to the Arbitrum DAO. The stack has since expanded: Nitro (the current rollup engine), Orbit (app-specific chains that settle to Arbitrum), and Stylus, which lets developers write contracts in Rust and other WASM languages alongside Solidity.

ARB tokenomics

Max supply is 10 billion ARB. At launch, roughly 11.6% went to the user airdrop, 1.1% to DAO-ecosystem airdrops, ~42% to the DAO treasury, ~27% to Offchain Labs' team and advisors, and ~17.5% to investors. Team and investor tranches vest over four years, creating the unlock calendar that traders track. ARB is a governance asset: it does not pay gas (fees on Arbitrum are paid in ETH) and does not yet earn protocol revenue.

SUPPLY
ARB launched with a 10 billion max supply, of which a minority circulated at the March 2023 airdrop.

How to buy Arbitrum

ARB trades on major exchanges including Coinbase, Kraken, and Binance. To use the token in Arbitrum DAO governance or move it cheaply, it can be withdrawn directly to the Arbitrum One network, where transaction fees are paid in ETH.

Arbitrum FAQ

Is ARB used to pay fees on Arbitrum?

No — gas on Arbitrum is paid in ETH, like on Ethereum itself. ARB is a governance token: it votes in the Arbitrum DAO on treasury spending, upgrades, and protocol parameters.

What is an optimistic rollup?

A layer-2 design that executes transactions off Ethereum, posts the data back to it, and assumes the results are valid unless someone submits a fraud proof during a challenge window. It inherits Ethereum's security while charging a fraction of its fees.

How does Arbitrum make money, and does ARB benefit?

The sequencer collects transaction fees in ETH and pays Ethereum for data; the surplus accrues to the DAO treasury. ARB holders govern that treasury, but today no revenue is paid out to the token itself — changing that is a recurring governance debate.

What was the ARB airdrop?

In March 2023, Arbitrum distributed about 1.16 billion ARB (11.6% of supply) to early network users based on usage snapshots, one of the largest governance handovers in crypto. Unclaimed tokens returned to the DAO treasury.

What is Arbitrum Stylus?

An upgrade that adds a WebAssembly virtual machine alongside the EVM, so developers can write smart contracts in Rust, C, and C++ that interoperate with Solidity contracts — a developer-reach advantage unique among major L2s.

What is Arbitrum's all-time high?

Arbitrum's all-time high is $2.39, reached on January 12, 2024 (source: CoinGecko).

How far is ARB from its all-time high?

As of 2026-08-01 19:21 UTC, ARB trades at $0.0785 — 96.7% below its all-time high. Reaching the ATH again would require a 30.5× move. This figure refreshes hourly with our CoinMarketCap data.

What was Arbitrum's lowest price ever?

Arbitrum's recorded all-time low is $0.0707, on June 26, 2026 (source: CoinGecko). Aggregators can differ on launch-era data; we cite the source shown.

Will ARB reach a new all-time high?

We don't publish predictions. What can be said factually: ARB trades 96.7% below its all-time high, and this page tracks that gap with hourly-refreshed data.
