Every Coin We Cover Rose This Week — the Month Disagrees — Data & Analysis · CryptoNewsAlert feature card

Every coin on our index closed the past seven days higher. That is the simplest way to describe this week in our price data: 10 covered coins, 10 positive 7-day changes, measured from our licensed CoinMarketCap snapshot taken July 3 at 21:01 UTC.

The spread within that green sweep is where it gets interesting.

The week, by the numbers

Solana leads the index at +14.6% over 7 days, followed by Ethereum at +12.5% and Uniswap at +10.2%. The middle of the table — Arbitrum (+9.6%), Chainlink (+9.5%), and FET (+9.0%) — clusters tightly, which is what a broad market move rather than a coin-specific story looks like in the data. Bitcoin, at +5.2%, rose barely a third as much as Solana; when the index’s largest asset lags its smaller members this consistently, the week’s flows favored risk further out on the curve.

The laggard is Optimism at +2.3% on the week — though notably it posted the single largest 24-hour move on the index (+9.7%) into our snapshot, meaning most of its weekly gain arrived in the final day.

The month tells a different story

Zoom out 30 days and the picture inverts: only 2 of the same 10 coins are positiveUniswap at +17.6% and Solana at +16.3%. Everything else remains underwater on the month, from Ethereum’s mild −0.6% to FET’s −25.3% and Render’s −22.8%. A week in which everything rises but a month in which almost everything is still down is the signature of a rebound inside a drawdown, not a resumed uptrend — the data can’t say which comes next, but it can say that’s the shape of where we are.

The two coins that are up on both windows, Uniswap and Solana, are also the only two whose 30-day gain exceeds their 7-day gain — their strength predates this week’s bounce rather than depending on it.

One coin is on its own clock

Ondo is the index’s odd case: −18.8% over 30 days but +31.8% over 90 days — simultaneously the third-worst monthly performer and the best quarterly one on our index. Whatever repriced ONDO happened in the April–May window and has been partially given back since. Our Ondo page lists the token-unlock schedule and RWA-narrative flows among its price drivers; the unlock calendar in particular is worth checking against any single-month underperformance.

What we’re watching in the data

Volume concentration remains extreme: Bitcoin turned over $25.7B in the 24 hours before our snapshot — more than twice Ethereum’s $10.0B and over ten times Solana’s $2.2B — while half the index traded under $200M. Breadth in price without breadth in volume means the smaller coins’ weekly gains rest on thin books, and moves in either direction from here can be sharp.

All figures are computed from our own licensed CoinMarketCap feed, refreshed hourly and baked into every coin page on this site; the snapshot behind this article is timestamped 2026-07-03 21:01 UTC. Percentages are CMC’s trailing-window changes, not calendar-week closes.
